Outlook 2003 Anti-Spam Filter Setup

This document assumes that you are already logged in Outlook 2003.

NOTES:

Anti-spam setup consists of two steps:

  1. Creating New Folder for Storing Filtered Spam Messages

  2. Adding X-Spam-Level Header to Outlook Message Filter




Creating New Folder for Storing Filtered Spam Messages


Outlook will be transferring all filtered messages to this folder.


Right-click on Inbox and select New Folder.

In Create New Folder window:
1. In the Name text box, type in a new folder name.
2. In Folder contains list box, select Mail and Post Items.
3. In Select where to place the folder section, click on Inbox.

Click on OK.

In order to confirm successful creation of a new folder, perform the following steps:

Right-click on Inbox and select IMAP Folders.

In IMAP Folders, select Subscribed tag and then click on Query button.

New IMAP folder will be displayed in the Subscribed section.
