- War Against Terrorism
- This project looks at changes in the integrative complexity of world leaders prior to 9/11 and up to the end of the Iraq war. There are 3 sub-projects in this group.
- - War on the Taliban regime in Afghanistan (world leaders)
- - War on the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq (world leaders)
- - War on Terrorism (USA only)
- Studies of Holocaust Survivors
- These studies look at how survivors have coped over the years since the Holocaust, using autobiographical interview tapes and questionnaires. The variables typically examined include, but are not limited to:
- Coping strategies, attributional styles, affiliation, psychological stances toward the environment, self and social definition, integrative complexity, PTSD symptoms, occupational status, Erikson's stages of development, motive imagery, and values.
- Astronaut Memoirs
- This study was the start of an ongoing project sponsored by the Canadian Space Agency. We scored the autobiographies of four early astronauts for values. These values included items such as:
- Power, achievement, stimulation, hedonism, self-direction, universalism, benevolence, tradition, conformity, tradition, and spirituality.
